Tehran: The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has announced that it had destroyed US military facilities and infrastructure in Bahrain and military radar systems in Oman during the latest phase of its retaliatory operations.
According to the latest statement released by the IRGC on Monday, the force said its naval units targeted US military installations in Juffair, Bahrain, saying the facilities were set ablaze following the attack.
The statement also said that missile and drone strikes destroyed an FPS long-range air surveillance radar and a maritime detection radar in the Sultanate of Oman.
The IRGC further noted that recent US military actions included striking an agricultural water pump in Mahshahr County, southwest Iran, describing the act of aggression as evidence of Washington’s hostile approach toward civilians.
The statement said the reported strikes were carried out as part of the fifth phase of Iran's retaliatory operations against US aggression.
The IRGC also asserted that safe navigation through the Strait of Hormuz depends on an end to US military involvement in the waterway and respect for the sovereignty of coastal states over their territorial waters.
It warned that continued US intervention could trigger broader consequences affecting global oil and gas markets.
