Lucknow: King George's Medical University (KGMU) issued a second notice to five mazar committees after receiving no satisfactory response to its earlier notice.
The first notice, issued on Jan 22, sought documents regarding the legality and construction of the mazars, but only one committee responded by the Feb 7 deadline. The committee of a mazar in the new Orthopaedic campus claimed it existed before 1947, a claim now under verification.
Fresh notices were served to mazars in Queen Mary Hospital, Microbiology, New Boys' Hostel, Respiratory Medicine, and Shatabdi Phase-2.
Committees now have been asked to appear before the registrar on Feb 28.
