Tehran: Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei has warned against the continuation of the Israeli regime's crimes despite the ceasefire announcement.
Baghaei condemned the attacks and aggressions of the Zionist regime against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, which resulted in the martyrdom and injury of at least 10 people, as well as the destruction of olive groves and the burning of residential houses in the West Bank, and the desecration of Al-Aqsa Mosque by extremist Zionist settlers, and called for accountability of the guarantors of the ceasefire and for the Zionist regime to be forced to stop its crimes.
Recalling the occupation regime's constant habit of violating promises and abusing the opportunity of declared ceasefires to continue its criminal actions against the Palestinians, Baghaei warned of the consequences of any inaction by the ceasefire guarantors in response to the Zionist regime's attacks against the people of Gaza.
After extensive internal consultations with Palestinian groups and regional mediators, and conditional agreement to some clauses of the plan put forth by US President Donald Trump, the Hamas movement officially announced the acceptance of a deal on ending the war on the Gaza Strip and exchanging prisoners.
