Tehran: Qatar’s prime minister has strongly condemned Israel’s attempted assassination of Hamas leaders in Doha, saying the office for the Palestinian resistance group was established upon a request by the United States and Israel.
In an interview with CNN on Wednesday, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani criticized Israeli politicians and intelligence agencies for ignoring that fact.
The Qatari leader denounced Israel’s strike on Doha, which killed five Hamas members and a Qatari security officer on Tuesday, as “state terror.”
Israeli warplanes bombed the headquarters of Hamas on Tuesday, where a senior delegation had gathered to discuss the latest US proposal for a ceasefire in Gaza.
Al-Thani said that the Israeli act of aggression “killed any hope” for the remaining captives in Gaza.
He described the attack as barbaric and said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu must be brought to justice.
