Yemen’s Ansarullah movement says the country’s Armed Forces have “successfully” targeted strategic sites deep inside the Israeli-occupied territories using four domestically-developed Sammad-4 (Invincible-4) combat drones.
In a statement on Tuesday, Ansarullah said that the drone unit of the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out four military operations, targeting Israel’s General Staff building, the Al-Khadira power station, and the Lod airport (Ben Gurion airport) in the region of Yaffa, as well as the occupied port of Ashdod.
Ansarullah further noted that the strikes came in response to Israel’s genocidal war against Palestinians in Gaza, and the ongoing starvation crisis in the besieged enclave.
According to the statement, Yemen’s operations “have successfully hit their targets.”
Ansarullah said Yemen’s Armed Forces have also carried out a missile strike on the MSC ABY ship in the Red Sea for breaching a ban on ships bound for ports in the Israeli-occupied territories imposed in solidarity with Gaza.
The operation was carried out using two drones and a winged missile, the resistance movement said, adding that it resulted in a direct hit on the ship.
Since the onset of Israel's genocidal war on Gaza in October 2023, Yemeni forces have carried out numerous operations in support of Gaza, striking targets throughout the occupied Palestinian territories.
Yemen has also been attacking Israeli ships heading towards ports in the occupied territories.
As the genocidal war on Gaza escalated, the Yemenis enforced a strategic blockade on essential maritime routes, intending to halt the delivery of military supplies to Israel and urge the international community to take action regarding the ongoing humanitarian emergency in Gaza.
The Yemeni forces have declared they will not stop their assaults unless Israel ceases its ground and aerial offensives in Gaza.
