Yemen’s Ansarullah resistance movement has declared all airports across the Israeli-occupied territories unsafe zones, escalating their retaliatory missile and drone strikes on the Ben Gurion Airport in solidarity with Palestinians enduring a genocidal war in Gaza.
Nasr al-Din Amer, the vice president of Ansarullah’s Media Authority, announced on Sunday that “all airports in occupied Palestine are unsafe,” saying, “We call on all airlines to suspend their flights to airports in Palestine to protect the safety of their passengers.”
Amer also discussed plans to impose a “no-fly zone” over Israeli airports, stressing that retaliatory attacks on the occupied territories would persist until the regime ceases its aggression against Gaza.
“Our operations will not stop—they will escalate until the aggression ends and the siege on Gaza is lifted,” the Ansarullah official said. “We will impose a no-fly zone on all airports in occupied Palestine in response to the escalation in Gaza.”
The warning comes as Yemen’s Armed Forces launched two ballistic missiles toward the occupied territories that targeted Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, threatening to escalate retaliatory operations.
“The missile force of the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out a qualitative military operation targeting Lod Airport, Israeli named ‘Ben Gurion’ Airport, in the occupied area of Yaffa, using two ballistic missiles, one of which was a hypersonic Palestine 2 missile and the other a ‘Zulfiqar’ missile,” Yemeni military spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree said in a statement.
“The operation successfully achieved its goal, thanks to Allah, and caused millions of occupying Zionists to rush to shelters, and air traffic at the airport to stop for about an hour.”
Stressing that the anti-Israel operation was in support of the oppressed Palestinian people and in rejection of the crime of genocide perpetrated by the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip, Saree called on the Muslim world to mobilize to stand against the illegal entity.
“The Yemeni Armed Forces renew their call to the Ummah. Has the nation of two billion Muslims failed to save two million Muslims from the threat of genocide and the threat of famine?” he said.
“All this failure and inability will only encourage the enemy to persist in its attacks against all peoples and countries.”
The Yemeni military spokesman vowed that the retaliatory strikes will continue “until the aggression against Gaza stops and the siege is lifted.”
The Israeli regime’s military claimed that it had intercepted one of the two ballistic missiles launched from Yemen, with Israel’s Channel 12 saying Ben Gurion Airport temporarily suspended all landings and takeoffs.
On Saturday morning, the Yemeni Armed Forces also carried out a military operation targeting a key Israeli airport using a Yaffa drone.
The Yemeni military has gone above and beyond to retaliate against Israel’s longtime aggression on Gaza, urging the international community to take action regarding the ongoing humanitarian emergency in the blockaded territory.
The ongoing Israeli war on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 53,272 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 120,673 others injured.
Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.
