Ghalibaf: US must fulfil Islamabad MoU commitments

Tehran: Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf reiterates that the US attempt for the economic siege of Iran will fail and that it is the US that must fulfill its commitments under Islamabad MoU.
In a meeting with Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani on Thursday, Ghalibaf said that Trump administration’s miscalculations not only waste America’s resources but also harm the interests of the Iranian nation and fuel regional instability.
For his part, Qatari PM welcomed the Iran–Oman agreement on maritime navigation through the Strait of Hormuz and expressed hope that the ongoing diplomatic developments could contribute to the restoration of stability in the region.
The Qatari official also reaffirmed his country’s efforts to advance solutions aimed at bringing stability back to the region.
