Trade with Iran, China priority for EAEU: Russian PM

Moscow: The Russian prime minister has emphasized that strengthening trade cooperation with China, Iran, and other friendly nations is a top priority for the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
Speaking at a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council on Friday, Mikhail Mishustin stated that trade between Russia and other EAEU member states has grown by 10 percent during the current period.
The Union is developing successfully, with internal trade turnover reaching 7.5 trillion rubles, the Russian prime minister informed.
Iran’s Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Mohammad Atabak attended the EAEU meeting Friday in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan.
The next EAEU prime ministers’ meeting is scheduled for October 1–2, 2026, in Belarus.
