TEHRAN: The Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) has declared its support for the Assembly of Experts’ election of Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei as new Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
In a statement on Monday, the IRGC stated that it is fully ready to obey orders by Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei and protect the sublime values of the Islamic Revolution.
The election of new Leader (Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei) is the new rise and start of new phase in the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic Republic, the statement added.
The IRGC said the election of the new Leader will make tolerable the bitter demise of the late Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khameni for the Iranian nation.
Iran’s Assembly of Experts named Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei as the new leader of the Islamic Revolution on Monday.
