As voting for the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections picks up, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has raised the allegations that power supply to booths situated in Mahagathbandhan strongholds were disconnected to slow down voting.
A post by RJD in X said: “In the middle of the first phase of voting, electricity is being cut off intermittently at the Mahagathbandhan's strong booths with the aim of slowing down voting. Voting is being deliberately slowed down." The party also demanded that the Election Commission take cognizance of such rigging.
However, Bihar's Chief Electoral Officer responded on the social media platform 'X', writing, "The allegations are completely baseless and misleading. Voting is going on smoothly at all polling stations in Bihar. The Election Commission of India is following all standard protocols to ensure a fair, transparent, and smooth voting process. There is no basis for such misleading propaganda."

Now, a youth government and a Tejashwi Yadav government are essential for a new Bihar."
