Ma’an, Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff-envoys of former President Trump currently in the occupied territories-conveyed a message from the US President during a lengthy meeting with Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of the Israeli regime, and Ron Dermer, one of its ministers.
Informed sources saeid this message was very explicit and serious: Netanyahu must not take any action that endangers the ceasefire agreement.
Kushner and Witkoff claimed they are making every effort to advance to a second phase of the ceasefire, which must not be jeopardized.
Netanyahu reportedly asserted in this meeting that Israel has adhered to the ceasefire. However, despite formal enforcement of this agreement, at least 100 locations in Gaza Strip have been bombarded by Israeli forces.
Last night, The New York Times quoted American officials reporting concerns within Donald Trump’s administration about Netanyahu possibly withdrawing from Gaza-related agreements.
A White House official told The new York Times that Trump currently believes Hamas leaders are prepared to continue negotiations in good faith.
