AIMIM workers in Hyderabad put up flex boards and posters to welcome their party leader and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi, who returned after visiting Middle Eastern countries as part of the government’s global diplomatic outreach on Operation Sindoor.
Owaisi was part of an all-party delegation that visited Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Bahrain to brief international partners on India’s response to the April 22 terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam under Operation Sindoor.
Some posters seen across the city bore a message lauding Owaisi: “One man against terror. One truth against Pakistan. Exposing the enemy within— for India, with pride."
The Indian government formed seven multi-party delegations tasked with engaging with global capitals to highlight India’s position against terrorism and seek support from the international community.
Owaisi’s delegation was led by BJP MP Baijayant Panda. It also included BJP members of parliament (MPs) Nishikant Dubey, Phangnon Konyak, and Rekha Sharma, along with AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, former union minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and nominated Rajya Sabha MP, Satnam Singh Sandhu.
Former Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla also accompanied the MPs.
Notably, the team included representatives from various parties as the government aimed at showcasing a united Indian front against terror on the global stage.
Owaisi Corners Pakistan
During an interaction in Bahrain as part of an all-party delegation, AIMIM MP Owaisi described Pakistan as a “failed state" and reaffirmed India’s capability to defend itself against any aggression from its neighbour.
He stated, as quoted by ANI, “The government and the media, our air defence system, our technology and warfare capabilities, successfully intercepted and neutralised everything that was launched by a failed state like Pakistan."
He further added, “Our government has taken all the steps to protect the lives of every Indian. This government has made very clear that next time you (Pakistan) take up this misadventure, it will be beyond what they are expecting."
Owaisi highlighted India’s defensive strength, noting that while the country has acted responsibly and shown maximum restraint, it possesses the capacity to ensure the safety of all its citizens.
