The leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah resistance movement has vehemently denounced the ongoing Israeli atrocities against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, saying the regime is “hell-bent” on decimating children and minors there.
Abdul-Malik al-Houthi made the remarks in a televised speech broadcast live from the Yemeni capital Sana’a on Thursday, stating that thousands of children in Gaza face imminent death by starvation amid Israel's total blockade.
“The primary goal of such Israeli actions is to forcibly displace the Palestinian population and completely occupy the Gaza Strip. The Israeli enemy has continued to perpetrate genocide in the Gaza Strip for the past 20 months. When looking at the tragedies of the Palestinian people, we realize that such plights have continued for a very long time, for the past 77 years.
“We should not simply take just one week of the grief and suffering of Palestinians into account. The massacre of nine children of a Gazan doctor represents just one of the recurring tragedies against Palestinians,” the Ansarullah chief said.
Houthi stated that Israel deliberately targets refugees in the late hours of the night, just as they intentionally strikes children.
“The Zionist mentality has a problem with the very existence of Palestinians in their own land. It is trying to get rid of the people,” he noted.
Houthi highlighted that thousands of children are at risk of dying from hunger in the Gaza Strip, dismissing Israel's new aid distribution system in the region as “deceptive and theatrical,” aimed at engineering starvation there.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the Ansarullah leader slammed escalating Israeli acts of aggression in the West Bank, including assassinations, abductions and destruction of private properties.
“Zionists continue to break into the homes of Palestinian families, set fire to their residences and agricultural produce.”
Houthi said Israel’s occupation of the eastern sector of al-Quds following the 1967 Six-Day War marks the worst incident for the Muslim world, stressing that the Israeli enemy does not hide its goal of destroying the al-Aqsa Mosque compound.
“This is an explicit goal, and the measures related to its realization are clear and obvious. The goal of the daily aggressions of the Israeli enemy is also to give the al-Aqsa Mosque a Jewish nature and destroy its Muslim identity,” he said.
He said excavations at the foot of al-Aqsa Mosque are being carried out with the intent of destroying the sacred site, stating that the number of tunnels under the compound and its surroundings has reached 27. “The Zionist enemy is trying to crumble al-Aqsa Mosque.”
Houthi said the Yemeni Armed Forces have carried out at least 14 operations this week against strategic positions deep inside the Israeli-occupied territories, employing hypersonic and ballistic missiles as well as drones.
“We targeted the Israeli enemy’s targets in Jaffa (Tel Aviv), Haifa, Ashkelon and Umm al-Rashrash (Eilat) in occupied Palestinian lands. The Red Sea remains shut and Israeli naval navigation is still prohibited. A large percentage of the ships carrying Israeli goods in the Red Sea belongs to five Arab and Muslim countries,” the Ansarullah leader said.
Houthi underlined that Israeli acts of aggression will never stop Yemeni operations in solidarity with Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, calling upon all walks of the Yemeni society to participate in Friday’s mass demonstrations in support of al-Aqsa Mosque, Islamic sanctities, and oppressed Palestinians.
