The representative of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in Tehran Khaled al-Qodumi said at the 35th International Islamic Unity Conference in Tehran that the actions of some Arab leaders in normalizing relations with the Zionist regime are one of the signs of the regime's defeat.
In an exclusive interview with IRNA, Al-Qodumi said that the normalization of relations is one of the signs of the Zionist regime's defeat. Because after 72 years of occupation of Palestine, today the Zionist regime needs to normalize relations with regional countries such as Bahrain with the support of the US and the arrogance forces, the question is why the Zionist regime needs to normalize relations.
He added that this shows that the Zionist regime is breaking. This normalization does not benefit the people of the region.
Pointing to the importance of holding the Islamic Unity Conference by the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Hamas representative said that today Muslim countries are facing complex challenges in the region and we see how heavy the conditions of the COVID19 are in the world, but in this situation, we are witnessing the unity conference and thinkers from over 16 Islamic and Arab countries are present at the conference.
He highlighted that unity is the most important reason for holding the Islamic Unity Conference, especially today it can be said that unity is like coordinating members of an anthem group who want to sing a song uniformly, but we have not been able to perform this anthem in harmony for nearly a century.
Today, all Muslims, both Sunnis, and Shies, Arabs, and non-Arabs know that lack of unity has caused a lot of damages, and if we have not reached this point yet, the reason is that not only are we not looking for common interests, but because of division, we have suffered common losses and today the issue of unity reduces these damages, he underscored.
He noted that Muslim countries have no choice but to move towards the unity of Muslims, and the next step is the common interests such as the creation of a powerful joint network at the level of the Islamic Ummah in cultural, economic, social, military, and political spheres.
Today, the Zionist regime, as a common enemy of the Islamic Ummah and the world has undermined the security of the world, and we must jointly confront this regime and help to liberate the noble Quds and Palestine so that this common enemy, which causes our common losses, will be eliminated, he reiterated.
Pointing to the latest developments in Palestine, the Hamas representative said that after the Operation al-Quds Sword in Palestine, the world realized that the Palestinians are freedom-loving people who want to live like other free societies in the world and are not willing to lose their rights. The Palestinian people can use swords or pens, harm the enemy, or live in safety, and this is the current situation of resistance in the whole of Palestine today.
He went on to say that friends of the Resistance have friends not only in Palestine and the Arab world but also in the Islamic world like the Islamic Republic of Iran and on five continents. In recent events, the al-Quds Sword even took to the streets in New York, where Jews shouted against the Zionist regime's crimes in the bloodshed of Palestinian children. This is a new message that we didn't even imagine in the past.
In the 1990s and 2000s, no one in the US dared to criticize the Zionist regime, but now in condemning this regime, the conference is being held and the significant question of the Western people from their governments is why they are helping the Zionist regime, which is against freedom and racial discrimination, and this is a significant development in the Palestinian issue towards complete freedom and the destruction of the enemy and the security of the whole world.
