Mysuru, Nov 16: Opposition leader in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah on Saturday alleged that Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has violated model code of conduct by stating that all the disqualified MLAs who are fielded in the December 5 byelection will be given ministership in his cabinet.
Speaking to media persons here on Saturday, Siddaramaiah lambasted the BJP leader saying that "being a Chief Minister, Mr Yediyurappa has violated model code of conduct and he has no moral right to continue in the office."
He alleged that BJP was involved in election malpractices and pointed out that the Sarees meant for inducement of voters which was seized by the police in Mysuru.
Claiming that the BJP government has to face trouble after Bypolls he said the saffron party will not win eight seats required for simple majority.
Taking a dig at the disqualified MLAs, he said, they have not sacrificed anything for the welfare of the State. They resigned as MLAs due to their selfishness, he added.
