Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting and Delhi election incharge Prakash Javadekar on Thursday said Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal favours the people who raised anti-national slogans in JNU, while on the other hand plays the drama of patriotism.
Addressing the mediapersons, Mr Javadekar said,'Mr Kejriwal stands by those anti-national elements who had raised anti national slogans in JNU like 'Bharat Tere Tukde Honge-Inshaallah-Inshaallah', 'Bharat Ki Barbadi Tak Jung Rahegi Jaari', 'Indian Army Murdabad', 'Kitne Afzal Maroge Har Ghar se Afzal Niklega'. This clearly shows that Mr Kejriwal favours the anti-national elements.'
"On the one hand Mr Kejriwal supports the people who raised anti-national slogans and on the other plays drama of patriotism. This is indicative of his 'double standard'. BJP strongly condemns it. The failure of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to win a single seat in Lok Sabha Elections and losing all the 70 Assembly segments and the security deposits of its candidates being forfeited clearly shows that AAP has lost the confidence of the people. The reason is that there is difference between prophecy and practice of Mr Kejriwal and people do not trust him,' he said.
"It is the duty of police to investigate the case and the court decides the matter. But Mr Kejriwal is putting hindrance against both the institutions. Mr Kejriwal has to give NOC on behalf of the State Government and his failure to give such NOC indicates that he is with the people who raised anti-national slogans bent upon spreading anarchy in the country,' the minister added.
Pradesh President Manoj Tiwari, Media Incharge Pratyush Kanth, Media Head Ashok Goel Devraha were present on this occasion.
